Creative workshops to bolster workplace wellbeing
Wellbeing makes our best work possible
Workplaces that care for the mental and emotional wellbeing of their workers benefit in so many ways.
Mentally healthy workplaces see:
Improved health and wellbeing (aka reduced turnover and burnout)
Greater engagement with the work (goodbye presenteeism)
Increased creativity (essential for engaging with complex challenges)
Effective collaboration (we are colleagues, not competitors)
Deepened sense of purpose (the more we refill our well, the more care we have to offer our work)
More robust decision making (we are more capable of responding instead of reacting).
Workshop ideas
Wellbeing workshops are highly adaptable and can be tailored for your needs.
Below you can find examples of workshops I have delivered; by no means are they an exhaustive list of what I can offer you.
Finding my edges
In this workshop, participants independently feel into the edge of where they end and the rest of the world begins. Participants are guided to consider what these edges release, what they keep out, and what moves through, before creating their own representation of this boundary.
This session is well suited for:
People who work in highly stimulating environments
Neurodiverse staff
High achieving teams who may be at risk of burning out.
Duration: 30 - 75 minutes
Kindness in Your Pocket
Participants are invited to create an artwork inside a matchbox that represents a person, creature, or place they reach for when in need of kindness and nurturing. These matchbox-sized artworks can be kept close in a pocket or drawer so it is always accessible when you are in need of some care.
This session is well suited for:
People experiencing challenging periods of change
Highly autonomous workers
Creating a culture that normalises the human need for nurturing and care.
Duration: 45 - 90 minutes
LEGO Serious Play for Self-compassion
Participants use LEGO to individually and collectively reflect on their own experiences of receiving care from others, how they respond when they get things wrong, and how they would like to treat themselves when things don’t go to plan.
This session is well suited for:
Cultivating greater self-compassion for high performers who hold themselves to very high standards
Shifting from a culture of competition towards a culture of compassion, collaboration, and care
Boosting psychological safety to openly discuss failures and mistakes.
Duration: 60 - 90 minutes

Let me introduce myself
Hi there!
I’m Amanda Reeves, an art therapist, futurist, and facilitator based in Naarm / Melbourne with a focus on supporting individuals and groups experiencing burnout, particularly women.
My interest in workplace wellbeing stems from my previous experience leading large scale change initiatives in public health settings. I witnessed the impact that significant change can have on worker wellbeing and learned what is required to support workers through this process. I have facilitated change and leadership training to thousands of Australian Public Servants, and taught leadership subjects at Monash Business School.
I hold a Masters of Therapeutic Arts Practice from MIECAT, a Masters of Strategic Foresight from Swinburne University, and am a certified LEGO Serious Play facilitator. I not only enjoy studying niche subjects, but I hold a deep interest in using creative practices and diverse ways of knowing to explore our own patterns and make changes that allow new patterns to emerge. I have a lifelong commitment to learning, and continue to educate myself in inclusive and trauma-informed practice.
Tell me all about it
No two workplaces are the same. I will talk with you to better understand your needs, then provide you with a proposal that responds to your unique situation.
