How would it feel to stop the burnout cycle?
I’m so glad you’re here.
When you’re always the person who helps others, it can be so hard to ask for help yourself.
Taking this first step is something you can feel proud of! I know how tempting it is to show everyone that you’re gliding along smoothly, even when your legs are wildly pedaling beneath the surface.
Anxious, hard working perfectionists, I got you.
You’re in the right place if:
you feel a knot in your stomach at the thought of getting something wrong
you spend your day anticipating everyone else’s needs, leaving you completely drained by the end of the day
you feel awkward about asking for or accepting help, even when trying new things
you burnout, take time to recover, then push yourself until you burn out again
you set high standards for yourself - anything less than perfect feels like a failure
you regularly find yourself saying ‘no worries if not!’ when making requests, or ‘this is fine’ when things do not feel fine.
If you are tired of living this way, I’m here to help you experience greater comfort.
Change happens one step at a time
My goal for my clients is to help you explore what is keeping you trapped in the burnout cycle and establish new patterns that respect your needs and support long term wellbeing.
I respect that you are the expert on your own life and experiences. This means I won’t:
Give you advice or tell you what you should do - I promise I won’t tell you to ‘live up to your potential’
Analyse or interpret artworks you create in a session - instead, I assist you to use your art to make sense your experiences and explore alternatives
Diagnose you or give you labels - if you have a diagnosis, we can explore what that means to you.
I will guide you to use art materials to explore, express, and better understand what matters to you.
Taking the next step
Vibe check
Before we begin, let’s make sure we are the right fit for one another. Book a free 15 minute, no obligation call where we can get a sense of your needs and where I can help. If either of us think the vibes aren’t quite right, I am happy to help connect with another therapist who can better meet your needs.
Make a time
If the vibes feel right, you can book a time for your first appointment.
Paperwork
Next, I’ll send you some documents that go into the nitty gritty of how I work. This covers important details about confidentiality, communication, charging, and consent. It will ask for your personal details and for you to confirm you’ve received and understood this information.
First session
The first session with any therapist usually works a little differently. Building on our first 15 minute chat, I’ll ask you to share a bit more about what is happening for you and what you’d like our time together to help you to do. You can expect us to focus more on talking and less on art making during the first session. In later sessions, making art and reflecting on what you have made will become the main focus of our time together.
Investing in yourself
I believe that therapy should be accessible to all who seek it. Sliding scale options are available.
